A salesman’s sample in a beautiful moire cotton and silk. This was intended as furnishing fabric, and probably dates from the 1940’s or 50’s. This is a very classic furnishing design and is in excellent strong condition This comes from the now-closed silk manufacture of Le Manach, which was based in the old town of Tours since the early 19th century, and whose archives and designs were bought up by Pierre Frey in 2014. It has its sample tag still attached to one corner.It measures 135×137cm with a small section measuring 12×33cm cut from on corner.
