Beautiful handembroidered cotton nightdress with button-down front

From the early 20th century, this lovely nightdress is in perfect condition and has been beautifully handembroidered. including the scallopped edging at the front of the piece. This front undoes - it has two buttons either side, and was constructed to allow easy access for breastfeeding an infant. This has an unusual standup-type collar at the back and is very elegant.

It measures 58cm from armpit to armpit across the chest lying flat.
