Set of three never-used early 20th century German handwoven linen teatowels - extra long

These are stunning, handspun and handwoven linen teatowels with a beautiful double red stripe down either side. Dating from around 1920-1930, the linen is unbleached, and these were found in an unused condition. They have been soaked and washed. The weaving pattern creates natural stripes running lengthways down the towel. There are cotton hook tapes sewn at each end of all the towels - the idea was that you use one end and when that end is dirty, you flip the very long towel and use the other end - saving on washing! These would look stunning as bathroom handtowels or for their original use in the kitchen. Each towel measures 46x118cm.

At the time of posting there are two sets of three towels available.
