Exquisite length of 19th century needle lace - unused #2
This delicate handworked piece of needle lace was worked on a netting background and was probably intended to be sewn into a sort of jabot, or neck decoration as it is carefully worked around the edges and at one end. It is in excellent condition, no holes but there is a tiny amount of fraying to some of the netting background, and just a little bit of yellowing. It is a delicate and very old piece. It measures 87cm long by 13cm wide.
