This smaller sheet, made to fit a narrow single bedstead, came from the same very wealthy household as many of the luxurious and very large sheets that I am currently putting up as well. This is fine creamy white linen, and it has been very simply decorated with a triple ladder border. But the skill of the maker is revealed in the precision of those ladder borders - they are exceptionally well-made. This is in impeccable condition, no wear, no marks. It could also be used as a curtain. It measures 148×239cm.
