A beautiful fine densely-woven machine-milled pure linen sheet with two handmade drawn-thread borders, one very delicate and one superbly-executed larger border where the threads have been bound together with button-stitching. This was found in an unused state with the sizing still in. I have soaked and washed it. It is perfect except for a small mark near the centre, which I have pictured. The linen is unbleached and is a warm soft colour. It measures 230×323cm.
