From the Dutch tobacco company Turmac, this is a wonderfully orientalist cigarette tin, probably from the 1930’s. Turmac was founded in the 1920’s and from the 60’s onwards manufactured cigarettes under the Peter Stuyvesant. There are examples of this tin or similar in several museum listings that I found when trying to date it. This one was found with some…interesting non-tobacco dried plant parts and seeds inside, which I am just going to say is definately Liptons Tea, and which will not be accompanying the tin.
