A good-sized hemp sheet made from two panels of handwoven fabric stitched together with hemp thread. This sheet is a beautiful example of handwoven 19th century hemp. It is in perfect condition and the hemp is both textured and soft. Years of washing have softened the colour to a cream and made it crumply and soft, but it shows no signs of wear and has another century of use in it if it is looked after well. The hems have been beautifully handrolled. It measures 212×225cm .
