An exceptionally beautiful piece of mattress ticking from the first half of the 20th century, in a thick strong linen and cotton métis damask. The colour is a sort of dark steely grey just verging on deep olive, with the damasked contrast in cream. The reverse side is equally beautiful. This is in perfect condition and there is such a lot of it, excellent for a smaller upholstery project or cushions. It measures 140cm wide by 480cm long - there is just a very small amount cut out of one end which I have pictured but the length is taking this into account.
