A pair of unused beaded costume decorations, early 20th century, never-used
Two beaded shaped panels worked in small pearlized glass beads of several different cream shades, finished with glass pearls. These two are not the same shape but were evidently made for the same garment, they have the same design. The beading is a work of art. They have been worked onto a backing of fine stiff cotton batiste, one has been cut out of its backing ready to apply, the other remains on its backing but has a slight damage to one corner where the backing has torn - there is no loss to the beads however. This is reparable, and both pieces are useable and should be used!. The larger piece is 17.5cm long, the shorter piece is 15cm long.
