An exquisite handbeaded bag, made from metallic bronze and platinum beads on a background of silver, with tassles, a chain handle, lined in shell-pink silk. This probably dates from round 1910-1920 - it could be earlier but will not be much later.
This is in excellent condition and came with a collection of similar pieces all of which came from the atelier of a beading and bagmaking artisan working from the 1920’s-1940’s. It measures 13.5×14.5cm.
