c.1900-1910 embroidered trim sample
Dating from the early 20th century, and with its original label still attached, this is a wide embroidered and beaded appliqué sample for use on clothing. Despite its very Indian Mughal patterning, this is French-made. One half of the sample has small metallic beads, the other half is just embroidered. it is backed onto cotton piqué. It measures 21.5cm wide and 54cm long.
