A set of five unused German damask handtowels with a design of fountains, cherubs, and dolphins

€110.00

These date anywhere from the early 1930’s to the 1950’s. They are a linen métis damask with an intricate and very large picture design of a nude figure fountain which is supported by cherubs and dolphins. They have initials EH embroidered in burnt orange thread and a hook tap at one end. They have never been used, I have soaked and washed them, and they are in perfect condition, the only fault I can see is a very very faint pink mark on one, it is so faint it is not showing up in photos and you would be hard-pressed to spot it without careful study. These measure 48×107cm.
