From the early 1980’s, this wonderful pair of overalls is made from a herringbone twill-woven cotton fabric, and was manufactured for use by commercial painters. It has wide legs that are almost slightly flared, and a shaped back rise with fixed straps which do up at the front with buckles. It has a number of pockets, including one at the front and a small one at the side which was for what I am not sure, maybe a lighter if I know French house-painters. These have been used lightly and have some paint marks, and some rust marks from being stored with the buckles folded in. The buckles are not damaged but they are slightly rusty. One of the back straps has come unstitched and will need a couple of minutes of attention, as will the very centre of the crotch. Otherwise these are super wearable and are very very 1980’s in a Mork and Mindy kind of way.
Measurements are as follows (as anindication, these fit me very well - I am a French size 42 (an Australian 12-14) and 165cm tall):
46cm at the narrowest part of the waist lying flat, so about 92cm around the waist
73cm from the centre crotch to the pants cuff
The body is 62cm from the top of the bib to the centre crotch.
