Called ‘pilou’ in French, this is a pure cotton flannelette, brushed on both sides, which was used to make both pyjamas and winter work shirts and petticoats. This piece dates from somewhere between the 1930’s to the mid-50’s, and is unused and in very good condition. There are some storage marks and one small grubby mark, all which should come out with soaking. It is a soft grey with pink and black chambray stripes. It measures 79cm wide by 409cm long.
