{1A} Large piece of early 20th century rose-print cotton

Sale Price:€75.00 Original Price:€90.00
sale

This darling piece of fabric is made from two panels of fabric stitched together, and looks as though it was originally the top part of a quilt. Probably 1910-1920, it has a gorgeous detailed print of roses on a blue background. It is only slightly faded, you can see the original shade at some of the edges that must have been tucked into the quilt seams (see the third picture). It also has minimum damage, just this one tear (pictured) that I can find. It is fine cotton and around 100 years old, it needs to be used gently and preferably backed. It measures 130×234cm.

Please click on the photos to open them up full-sized.
