Pair of 19th century handwoven hemp teatowels
From my contact in the Vendée once again I have some limited pieces of amazing hemp coming from a wealthy 19th century farmhouse. This is a pair of teatowel which were possibly cut down from a worn-out sheet as they have hems on either side , although the fabric is in perfect condition with no wear at all. There are hook tapes at either end. and flecks of stalk waste in the weave. They each measures 52×110cm.
