Set of three early 19th century German etchings of leatherworking - glass-framed

Sale Price:€30.00 Original Price:€52.00
Sold

These three etchings are all around the theme of tannery and leatherwork. I can’t read German, and especially not blackletter, but these show the curing and stretching of skins, the measuring and cutting, and I think the last one is a client discussing the form of a saddle whilst a timid horse looks on and a dog looks the other way. These three have been expertly framed in glass with a ring at the back to hang them up - the way they have been framed shows they were framed decades ago. They are in perfect condition, ready to hang, or gift to your dearest leatherworker friend. Each measures 14cm wide by 20.8cm high.

Please click on the photos to open them up full-sized.
