Large piece of sun-yellow cotton damask mattress ticking
In a lovely sunny shade of yellow, this is a large piece of soft cotton damask mattress ticking with a design of roses. It has been cut from the sprung base of a bed rather than from the mattress itself, and so is in excellent condition excepting the corners, which were cut away slightly to be folded over the sprung base, and the edges, which have tack holes where it was tacked to the wooden frame. There is a fade mark down one side, where the bed must have been positioned alongside a window, but it only affects the part that would have been folded over the side of the frame. The rest of the piece is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 190×224cm and is missing a rectangle of around 25×30cm from each corner.
