Heavy pure linen sheet with hand-embroidered intiials MC
I am not sure if this piece is handwoven or machine woven, but it has been made from two panels of pure linen stitched together at the centre of the sheet. The linen is very heavy but still very drapey and soft and cool, sheets like this make excellent summer blankets for those really hot nights when it gets slightly cool towards morning - just put another sheet underneath. They also are beautiful bedspreads for a slightly rustic look. This one has a large pair of hand-embroidered initials MC at the centre top. It is in excellent condition and measures 209×287cm.
