This is old shop stock dating from the late 40’s to the mid-50’s - it could be earlier but it will not be later. It has a design of floral motifs. It is in perfect condition and although the design is delicate, the lace is very strong. This came from a large collection of old shop stock from a shop which must have closed in the 1950’s but had things dating back to the turn of the century. This piece is wrapped around its original storage board which indicates that it once cost 100 francs per metre - this pricing is how I can date it.
This piece is 23.5cm wide and 4.8 metres long.
