A complete set of twelve serviettes in a linen-rich damask initials RG

€65.00

This is a complete set of 12 serviettes that dates from the 50’s or 60’s. They are made from a sturdy linen-rich métis in a chequerboard pattern, with hand-embroidered intials RG in the centre of each serviette, and hand-stitched hems. They are in very good condition, most of them are perfect, a couple have tiny marks and on one the hem is very slightly fraying in a small spot. The fabric has a lovely drape and crumple. They each measure 72×82cm.

In another listing there is a large tablecloth from the same household, with the same hand-embroidered initials, and in a damask of similar weight and drape but with a different weave design. It would match beautifully with these serviettes if you were so inclined.
