This is a good-sized tablecloth that dates from the 50’s or 60’s. It is made from a sturdy linen-rich métis, with hand-embroidered intials RG in the centre, and hand-stitched hems. It is in excellent condition, no wear, no marks that I can spot, and the fabric has a lovely drape and crumple. It measures 174×246cm.
In another listing there is a complete set of 12 serviettes from the same household, with the same hand-embroidered initials, and in a damask of similar weight and drape but with a different weave design. They would match beautifully with this tablecloth if you were so inclined.
