A beautiful table-setting consisting of a tablecloth and twelve large serviettes in a fine linen with raised weft-stripes at both ends of all the serviettes and of the tablecloth. All pieces are embroidered with the initials ‘PD’ - there are two sets of these initials on the tablecloth, facing outwards. The whole set is in very good condition, it has been used and there are some tiny marks, and one very small hole plus a visible mend on the serviettes. I have photographed the worst of these to give you an idea (I think the yellow is actually bee-spit - I wash and airdry everything and these were done in early spring and I think that the yellow marks might be insect-related!) These are very useable and the quality of the linen is superb. The serviettes measure 67×82cm - their relatively large size also points to the age of this set - and the tablecloth measures 163×176cm.
