This is old shop stock dating from the late 40’s to the mid-50’s - it could be earlier but it will not be later. It has scalloped edges on both sides with a field of trellis-like flowers interspersed with medallions.. It is in perfect condition and although the design is delicate, the lace is very strong. This came from a large collection of old shop stock from a shop which must have closed in the 1950’s but had things dating back to the turn of the century. This is on its original shop board which indicates that it was sold for 150 francs per metre - this price allows me to roughly date it.
This piece is 26cm wide and 5.63 metres long.
