A sheet in a very beautiful quality of pure linen, with its matching pillowcases, all with identical very fine drawn-thread geometric designs and hand-wrapped ladder borders. This is a very beautiful set of bedlinen, the linen is heavy but fine, smooth and cool to touch with a wonderful drape. It is exceptionally large for a vintage or antique sheet. The matching pillowcases are a slightly creamier colour, and they do up at the back with mother of pearl buttons. All pieces are in excellent condition and have been little used, if at all - probably the sheet has been lightly used and the pillowcases never, which accounts for the slight difference in colour. They have some very small marks which are the result of being stored for many years rather than from use - on the border of the sheet is a pale storage mark, and the pillowcases have two small marks, one looks like a drip mark and the other like an ink transfer mark, but neither are very noticeable. I have photographed all of them. The sheet measures an enormous 249cm wide by 310cm long, the pillowcases are 68×70cm at insert size.
