This listing is for three pieces of very wide chantilly lace, machine made, dating from somewhere between 1900-1930. This has been used and has been taken off a costume at some point - it is in three pieces and is not absolutely perfect, but fairly close! There is no outstanding damage to two of the pieces, the patterning seems utterly perfect - the small faults are in the fine netting at the top. Some of these are due to the irregular way the netting has been made and is inherent to the construction of the lace rather than structural damage, and the actual damages are tiny, and fairly minimal. The third piece has a few more of these damages but still nothing appalling. This is the part of the lace that would be attached to the garment and would be the least visible - the patterning with its design of fern-like leaves and flowers is perfect. This is 38 cm wide and then the three pieces are 178cm, 285cm and 370cm respectively for a total of just over 8 metres. Despite being such delicate lace it is still strong and very useable.
