This set of six cloths are almost certainly serviettes, but given their size and the fabric they are made out of and their weight, they could also make beautiful kitchen cloths for polishing glasswear or similar. They are made from a beautiful quality soft shiny linen métis in a diamond damask weave. Each one has a pair of embroidered initials VL (which I have just realised that in a moment of inattention I have photographed upside-down!!) and a drawn-thread hem. The linen is super glossy and wonderful. They are almost perfect, there is just one cloth with some small rust marks which I have pictured. They measure 81×93cm.
