A beautiful sheet, made from a medium to heavy-weight machine milled linen, with a drawn-thread border and extensive very delicate and lush embroidery. The motifs are of ears of wheat, a symbol that was often used in French embroidered pieces to represent fertility. In the centre there is a medallion of the initials BV and another medallion of handmade lace. In excellent condition, very little used, there is a faint small mark like a pale pen stroke on one side, otherwise perfect. It measures 227×308cm.
