Set of three large handwoven linen kitchen cloths with raised warp stripes initials HB
Three beautiful kitchen cloths, in pure handwoven linen, with little red cross-stitched initials HB in one corner. They all have raised weft stripes at top and bottom, formed by dropping thicker threads into the weave as the piece is being woven. They have very fine handstitched hems. They are in excellent condition considering their age, which is at least a century. One has a mark on one of the raised-weft bands, another has a small unravelled wear at one edge. I have photographed both these things. They measure 71×89cm.
