Fine cotton blouse with tiny pleats and large cutwork trim
This beautiful blouse looks like it dates from early last century, and well might, or it may be a 50’s recreation. It is made from a very fine cotton. It has fine pleats at the front to shape it around the body, and then some serious cutwork trim on the collar, the cuffs and the front. The cutwork is machine embroidered but the effect remains fabulous. This trim would probably have been quite heavily starched originally to make it stand up, but it looks fab without. This is in excellent condition, the only damage I have found is one tiny pinprick in the collar - all the cutwork is intact. It does up at the front with very chunky buttons and has a pair of red initials tucked into the bottom of the neck opening. It measures 59cm from armpit to armpit lying flat across the chest.
